Hi everyone ! First time posting. Currently working on the 737 mcp but I really want to build the MTUv5. I still need to learn more about the software side but has anyone got the MTUv5 working with the pmdg 737 for msfs ? especially the motorized part ?
thanks for the help !
Someone showed me this on the Mobiflight discord. There is a section just for yokes and throttles. The variables are GENERAL ENG THROTTLE LEVER POSITION:1
GENERAL ENG THROTTLE LEVER POSITION:2, etc. This should drive the stepper motors. I haven't tried any of this as I am just starting to research
Hi henryfitchett ! really interested to see how you did things with Air manager( didn‘t know about this software) and how it is different to the way I have set things up. I have tried to make it as realistic as possible in regards to thrust lever speeds and autothrottle hold/arm modes. Working on simplifying things but it still requires a fair bit of setup in mobiflight.
Hi Karl! Looks like you had a fantastic weekend! Would've joined but had to do some real aviating... Yes I think I've got it pretty much sorted with AM - I just need to finish printing and get it built now.... Will keep all updated on the progress..
Hello all, I am now back from the Expo and this thread sounds promising! Firstly i never thought to use Airmanager to drive the throttles. That may be the simplest solution, but it sounds like others are starting to find a way around the problem. Just to confirm, the MTU was always designed to work with prosim only. Piki was the first to get it to work with Xplane and im hoping someone can come up with a solution for PMDG. Good Luck guys!
Morning all!
just came across this post. Am also working on getting the MTUv5 to work with PMDG. Am currently using Air Manager to control the Thrust Levers, Speed Brake and Trim. Works quite well but still WIP... Will update soon.
Im just at the start of the MTU build, but would also be interested with getting it to work with PMDG & MSFS. Prosim a bit on the expensive side, Hopefully Mobiflight just keeps growing so it will be achievable one day.
Cheers
Riche
I have the same problems. I'll go to pro sim when karl finishes the guide, for testing I'm trying to run the steppers on msfs myself. I managed so far only with throttle, 1 and 2. I took the variables here:https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Programming_Tools/SimVars/Aircraft_SimVars/Aircraft_AutopilotAssistant_Variables.htm

I am in the same boat. I've completed the MTUv5 and trying to find a way to get it to work in MSFS without prosim.
