Hey again
now that the first trim wheel is finally done,
after playing with it a bit, it is really unbalanced,
did you encounter any issues with that? doesn't it strain the stepper?
maybe it's possible to create the white part with a cavity, and glue a fishing weight in there to offset the handle a bit?
The 737-300 AMM calls for trim wheel handles to be mounted 90 degrees from each other not 180 This is to aid in cranking the wheels in manual reversion mode. I believe this to be the same for the NG model aswell.
Hello Ido,
You need to create two trim wheels. Becasue they are are a common shaft and rotated 180 degrees. They counter balance each ohther perfectly. I actually have two real trim wheels here from the 737 and they are the same.
Kind Regards,
Karl
