ok hope i placed this in the right area
i have a cr-10 its like the ender but a bit bigger. same people make it same board that runs it.
the problem is. i been using 3m blue tape for years, and into know its been fine.
3m tape seems to have gotten really cheap since the covid war. now when i go to print the tape is lefting up off the heat bed and after the 3ed pass my parts start to warp. after the 6th or 10th pass depending on what i am printing the park brakes off. the tape is not sticking to the bed.... what or you all using to print the parts
i am using
cr-10 with upgraded board/firmware and heated bed
software is simplify3d
filament abs
print setting is at
nozzle 0.4
heat bed at is set to pass 1st 90 3ed pass 60 < atm i been missing with this one
nozzle is set to 1st pass 250 . 3ed pass 245 .
also using a infill and support for some models
if you have a better setup for abs for printing parts for the cr 10 and ender with simplify please let me know. i been trying all week. i been printing for a few years now. never had a problem with abs up into now. then again i always did small parts. what tape works best for you on a heated bed with glass
no i been using abs for a long time about 2 years. i found out what my problem is. my glass plate is warped. i just ordered a new plate with composite coating on it also just got aluminum extruder. i still running a stock cr10 with merlan firmware its enclosed also. but hopping this well fix my problem.
thank you and i well give this a shot in a sic here. about to start a print on the overhead control. i was using this gold elc tape. seemed to work45 mins then started warping again. also changing filament that roles been on for good bit.
Hi Dragon Art,
I don't use tape. The ABS sticks to the Ender 3 glass plate like gorilla snot. It only detaches when the glass plate cools down. I print at 260 degrees nozzle temp, and 110 degrees bed temp. I also use an enclosure now. Have you just got a bad roll of ABS?
Merry Christmas Karl
