Arduino Stepper Help

I have the MTU connected to the Bodnar Cards and last step is connecting the Stepper Motors to the Arduino and then MobiFlight. I have never used Arduino or MobiFlight. I've searched the Forum and reviewed the info on Throttle5 Build Guide.

1) Do I need MobiFlight if I have Prosim?

2) Would you mind sharing your Arduino Sketch so I can see how you've setup the Stepper Motors?

please, what is prosim command name for controlling software built in. i can not find please write offset and command name in prosim

For the 5th wire what led output is need to be configured ? The same code (event ID) for all the stepper motors ? A constant on led or only when motor need to be activated ?

Can you please provide an example for PMDG code need to be used for that ?

Hello, I'm afraid I do not use pmdg for the MTU. It was designed for prosim in mind that has the controlling software built in. You would have to ask other member la in the forum how they got there MTU to work with PMDG. Prosim has a servo engage output which I used to activate the stepper motors. Instead of using servos, I use steppers. There are quite a few members working on this. Kind regards karl

Hi Steve,

You do indeed need mobiflight and prosim. Prosim is just the logic. Mobiflight is the hardware interface that talks to prosim.

As for the MCC file, I will have to have a look on my programming laptop, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one as I usually overwrite the file when im done. At least I put all the screens on the MTU guide to programme it again. For the time being, i would follow the step-by-step.

Once I get a chance, i will do a video and build a guide to catch up. This project is a little behind right now.

I use the 24v PSU per a response @Karl Clarke gave to one of my posts. It seems 12v wasn't enough to power the trim pointers. For the trim pointers, see this thread:

@Karl Clarke I didn't connect ENA+ to 5v but instead used one of the Arduino digital pins (e.g. D5).

My configuration for Speed Brake is:

PUL+ to D2

DIR+ to D3

DIR- to D4

ENA+ to D5

PUL- and ENA- to GND

What do I need to change?

Thank you Steve and Karl for your reply. I am going to use 24 V as power supply.

Are you using mobiflight? Mobiflight needs 4 pins to connect a stepper.

So when following Karl's picture in step 1 of MOD 5 I think I should connect :

PULL+ to PIN 1 (mobiflight)

PULL- to PIN 2 (MF)

DIR+ to PIN 3 (MF)

DIR- to PIN 4 (MF)

But what with ENA+ and-?

ENA+ to a PIN (arduino) (LED output pin) mobiflight?

ENA- to GRD (arduino)?

I am not sure about ENA+ and ENA- .

Other problem: Where can I find the enable names in Prosim? (I have asked that question also in the prosim forum).

I don't know if it's right or not, but something worked for me. ENA+ to 5v, ENA- to a free pin (you can immediately follow it after DIR and PUL) in mobiflight I made an output pin for A/T ARM and for throttle 1 and 2 in Add Reference I added A/T ARM and put a tick on use. now I use the A/T switch to turn off and on the power supply of the stepper
