Hi friends!
I just printed the first Throttle knob (part 1) and followed the short guide:
Support: ON (but does not say how much or where or whatever in instructions?)
Adhesion: Skirt, worthless to me, prints far away from the knob Nozzle. 0.2mm used
Speed 50mm/s
Layer height 0.1mm
Infill 25%
When I printed it in my printer Geeetech A20 printer the support for the text on the knob is rock hard, and impossible to remove, see images. Also it seems impossible to remove material to be able to fasten the push button for the A/T disarm, since its seems imossible to get the overflow of material with these settings away.
What have I done wrong here?

Great to see you got that one sorted - just a bit of light reading for the future
You will get to a point where supports from base to underneath become difficult to remove. Hover over the text lines in cura to get a full explanation of :
Support Z distance; Support Top distance; Support X/Y distance: Ideally with the correct distances and E0 temperature The supports will virtually fall away from the printed article
I have 0.2, 0.2, 0.7 for my distances and X/Y overrides Z (next option)
This can be considered solved at this point. I made adjustment as mentioned above in my previous post. Support just set to "Touching buildplane" and nothing else. The final result was magnificient. I am very happy with this print. When I am writing knob #2 is already printing the same way. Here are images of my final print for knob #1 (part 1)
What a great design, feels great and will be a pleasure to work with.
Great news, I again checked my supports for the knobs and yes mine was set to touching build plate too , sorry for the mis information.. pleased you have it sorted , good luck with the build..
Hello, You need support on, but try touching build plate only. I have never seen support used for the text. As you have a different machine to my ender 3, I wouldn't suggest you download my Cura profile.
If support is hard to remove, you need to increase the X & Y offsets. Normally your printer will have already set the optimum Z offset. When i started out, too had problem with hard to remove supports, but this is the case no more. Kind Regards Karl
Update
Have removed the support everywhere and just added it to "Touching Buildplane" only. And the text prints wonderful.
It is in progress right now but here is an image,
I guess I have to explore and, unfortunately, need to print one object several times to see where support is needed and not. But this version of the throttle knobs looks absolutely great!
So far...
Looks like you are using tree supports? I use normal supports everywhere @ 20% and @ 60 degrees , speed 40 , nozzle 0.4 And use a brim of 5mm. I don’t have any trouble removing the supports and the quality is adequate imo.. I am using an Ender 3 V2 Using Cura. Hope that helps.
