Hi,
According to the build guide, the 3mm ball bearing "can be gotten by taking apart a standard rotary switch." I need to know what sort of standard rotary switch it's talking about.
I have a lot of extra parts from what I ordered to make the G1000 displays. Is one of those encoders what you're talking about. I would rather not buy 50-100 ball bearings to get ... one.
Thanks,
John Ureke
Hello!
As andy says, they are from a 12 position loran rotary switch. Howver, there are places like ebay and amazon that sell 3mm ball bearings (x10) for the same price as the rotary. I know you need only one, but future designs also will use them.
It’s the kind with the black and white paint difference. I just bought a box at Amazon for like 12 usd. I found that I lose things easy and this had a few sizes so if my hole was off it would be ok.
