Configuring 737 throttle quadrant V3 thrust reversers in MSFS 2020

Hi all,

I've completed the buiding of the 737 throttle quadrant V3, and it is working like a charm.

But now I'm stuck in thrust reversers configuration in MSFS 2020, since the throtttle levers are actually axes, while MSFS is expecting switches instead.

Searching the MSFS forums, I've found discussions strongly discouraging from using axes for thrust reversers command as per the following:

I want to set a dedicated axis for reverse thrust… but couldn’t find any axis for reverse thrust… Has anybody found a solution? Thanks!

Now I'm completely lost on how to proceed... Using axes fot the reversers is depicted like a complex and error prone approach, but then why the V3 quadrant is expressly designed with pots instead of switches? Maybe it is conceived for use on sims other than MSFS? Is there someone who successfully configured the quadrant in MSFS 2020 and can give some hints?
