Hi All,
I have purchased the files for the landing gear and have been trying to print the panel. I have used fusion to extrude and join the lettering. All looks good in fusion but when saving to stl the lettering looks as though it is engraved rather than extruded. Also to add do I use the 0.2 nozzle for the full print and what quality would you I set in Cura for the nozzle. Using 0.2 prints spaghetti :) Would anyone have a GCode already for this?
Many thanks.
thanks so much gazzt3074!! it never occurred to me to try that! really appreciate all the help.
thanks! will give it a try. how do you make the text and and numbers stand out when painted?
Ok so I got the above printed with a 0,4 nozzle. May well be better with a 0.2, but this is slicer in Cura 4.9 and in settings I added a tick in Print thin walls which I got from this hint. (635) Quick and Easy Tiny Prints with 0.4 Nozzle on Creality Ender 3 - YouTube
I hope this helps.
thanks Gazz3074! looking forward to hearing the results and how you fixed it.
I am testing a reprint now and will let you know. I have added two settings in Cura which seems to have helped alot. Watch this space.
@Mikeboy4255 hope to the landing gear at some point. but need to practice as I have had my 3D printer only 2 days.
As I am really new at this, can you be more specific? how did you do it? in Fusion360?
thanks for the help!
I’ve had to resize the inner and outer shells of the Korry to fit, they are printing right now, hopefully will be successful once done.
I am having the same issue assembling the Korrys. please let me know if you find a solution
IMO, the text is too small I have tried only with the 0.4 but suggest that embossing rather than raised text would be better. on a similar note have you printed the Korrys yet as I can’t get those assembled they don’t fit together as size difference. Just wondering if it’s me..
I managed to get the shape printed but no extruded text only a rough surface.
