Evening all.
First up, Karl what a great site. Huge inspiration! I'm now the proud purchaser of the full plan set and build is underway. Very exciting!
My aim originally was to build my sim to use with MSFS2020 - however still waiting on PMDG for that, so i'll fall back to P3D - I have v4.5 and 5. My question(s) is what software is being used to export the PDF displays to the 2nd networked PC or to separate displays? Is that a function of Prosim in this build? Or does mobiflight do this? Or does PMDG allow this also? Or is something else needed - i.e. Air Manager, Sim-Avionics etc?
I have mobiflight working with fsuipc and some test electronic builds already so that's good, but monitors are arriving tomorrow so want to start testing config for those.
All help greatly appreciated :)
Also you can use FSxpand for the other gauge/engine displays, not as user friendly as others such as air manager but does the job!
I am using PMDG, and simply undock the displays and move them to my panel that has a 19" monitor, I have triple screens for the main displays and use mobiflight and leo boards for everything. You will have to be careful of sizing the windows correctly and only move them once then dont touch them again or else you'll get the Blue flashing cursor of death...Im running an RTX2070 super... good luck!
Hi Paul, Thank You. As the others have already mentioned, Prosim is awesome for this, but comes at a cost. I no longer use PMDG, but I'm sure I remember that you could undock the screens and move them around to different monitors. Kind Regards Karl
Hey Paul, There's a couple of programs that will give you that functionality, I use ProSim because it's easy to use and you can download a trail version to try it out.
It runs in demo mode for 30 minutes then you have to restart it.
I use Prosim on a networked PC to display the PFDs. Have yet to try Prosim on MSFS - it works fine on FSX and I presume the same for P3D.
In Prosim you can set up a number of displays which you can move around to the multiple monitors you physically set up in the MCP.
Make sense?
