Hi, I'm using mobiflight and wired up the first arduino via USB to PC.
As we know, we need another arduino for the 6 extra I/O required for the FMC, but since i have the MCP & Radio planel also in use I'm interested in keeping USB ports to a minimum, so is it possible to have the 2nd arduino wired to the first via RX/TX pins or do i have to use another USB port?
Hope someone can clarify this,
Regards,
Mike.
P.S. Attached pic of FMC 99% working

Thanks for the info Jonathan,
Had an 'after thought' I may have some spare inputs on the MCP [2nd arduino] so may look into that option.
cheers.
That PCB looks familiar :)
My understanding is that you need to use two MEGAs as MobiFlight recognises the MEGAs based on individual USB connection. There might be a way to use multiplexer (one MEGA pin gives you x more pins), I believe on the MobiFlight page there is a tutorial about multiplexers.
