I was going to start building the FMC since I have already completed the MIP structure. When looking at the plans it seems the FMC pedestal is longer than the length of the MIP floor structure. Is this correct? This means the FMC pedestal would overhang onto the flight Control floor. Specifically on page 2 of 11 the MIP floor measures 623mm and the length of the FMC pedestal, page 3 of 36 says the length is 637mm giving it a difference of 14mm. Is this correct?

This is the v3 sizes i have, a mximum height at the front od 582mm and at the rear 522mm?
Hi Guys, I think Ross has this one covered, If you need more help or you dont understand, just comment here and i will dig the drawings out.
Kind regards Karl
Hi Michael, I see where you got the 623mm measurement from which is shown as the full depth for the modular floor section for the MIP. The MIP body section internal walls are 1515mm and outer width is 1299mm including the 30x30 sides lower supports which fit the modular floor flush from the front and sides of the wider section and finish where the modular section narrows to width of 1374mm at 473mm for a further 150mm which should accomodate the FMC pedestal.
You can see a pic of this assembled in <Forum><Sim Showcase> titled 'My build begins' if that helps.
If you have the Front Section Build guide plans this is clearly shown on page 3 which shows it extends beyond the floor of the MIP and shows the MIP floor as 461mm.
(reference MIP Structure 4/8).
The FMC Pedestal base length shows as 532mm on the sides with the center section 637mm
(reference FMC Unit 3/36)
Have a look at Karl's Modular Floor plans also as there is a section in that for the console too
