Looking at starting the wiring. I'm new when it comes to this. I saw what appears to be 8 or 9 resistors on wiring diagram? Is that all I need or should there be a resistor for every LED? I also see a 12v source on the diagram, is that coming from somewhere beside Ardiuno board in order to power LEDs?
Am I just better off not even bothering with LEDs?
Also, from what I decipher on diagram, I need to connect the ground wire from Arduino and pigtail to all switches and encoders. Seems straight forward enough. But when I trace the ground wire on diagram, it eventually leads to 5v spot on Arduino board. Is that okay because it says "not connected" at the top? If so, how does it not connect? I think I may have bit off more than I'm capable of.
I have the same question! Is there a separate 12v power supply for the led's?
I actually showed an electrical engineer I work with and he explained everything to me. So please disregard :)
