Hello can anyone tell me how do I create a breakout board? I have karl seen using them in his mip
I use these all the time now
The ones I have seen (and use) are kits or preassembled units. They provide you with terminal blocks for all of the connections to the Arduino boards. That lets you insert a bare wire end into the block rather then needing to get a pin connector attached to the end of each one. They have them readily available on Amazon and I am sure eBay has them as well. The one shown below sells on Amazon for $17.90 and is kit form (see 2nd picture). Those black connecters have long pins that extend out the bottom and plug straight into the Arduino Mega board. The item shown is manufactured by Electronics Salon if you want to look it up.
I hope that information is helpful.
Bit more digging and I found: Break Out Boards (737diysim.com). Now those are no longer available but are available here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303675780756?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6CvL4NW3R0K&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=7S0qLSQrTwy&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
For the connectors I guess something like above.
I really like these from Keystudio for the Mega, Cheap and lots of them. Available from Amazon:
These don't have screw terminals like the ones mentioned earlier in the thread, but they are weak and break easy. These boards have soldered connections and will require the purchase of additional header pins to attach them to the arduino. Then the whole board becomes a quick disconnect connector.
Hi Sarah, I purchased this kit and absolutely love it. Would you happen to have a picture on how to wire the resistors for the single LED light?
