Karl,
thanks for your recent post on the above topic. I just need to understand as this could possible bring a stop to my sim build. is it correct that the only way to get MSFS2020 to work with the sim is to purchase Prosim? at that price I guess my build stops here.
Rikka,
You do not need Prosim
There is a A32NX freeware project for MSFS which has excellent avionics.
Atm there is no 737 plane, but PDMG are developing a paid product.

Hello guys,
I read this post I would like to understand if it is necessary to have prosim in msfs or mobiflight replaces it without problems. Also I would like to understand which aircraft you use with the 737 home cockpit in Msfs, is it compatible with A320?
thank you all
I see my posts are being deleted.
Glad to help.
I've emailed you three Mobiflight files:
MobiFlight Mega.mfmc sets up the hardware connected to the Arduino. The output device is my 40 line by 2 line LCD; you will have to set it up for your choice of hardware. There is a Mobilight tutorial for 8-digit LEDs on the Mobiflight website, https://www.mobiflight.com/en/tutorials/seven-segment-display.html
test_787.mcc is a config file that works directly with the 787 Dreamliner in FS2020
test_A320.mcc works directly with the Fly by Wire A32NX plane in FS2020
The 787 is closest to the 737, obviously. There maybe some differences, but I don't have a 737 for FS2020 to verify. Cheers Paul
Ok I see where I went wrong I needed to change the folder properties.
Thank you. Learning something new every day. It worked.

Randy,
Use the Backspace key 3 times before you type "zip". That will remove .jpg, before you type. If you are unfamiliar with file extensions and renaming files check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J65OCmUGf7g Meanwhile I'll email the files to you. Cheers Paul PS Experimenting with Backspace and Delete keys and knowing when to use each one is really useful, and not difficult when it becomes familiar.
Randy,
There is no conversion to be done, just a file rename.
Simply rename Mobiflight.jpg by changing the extension to ".zip".
Highlight the file and press F2 OR right click it and choose Rename. When the extension becomes .zip Windows will be able to unpack it.
For some reason this forum would not accept a Mobiflight config file or a .zip file.
So I zipped 3 Mobiflight config files into one zip file, then renamed the extension to .jpg to smuggle it into the forum.
If the wheels fall off send me your email.
Paul
Tried Dowmloading MobiFlight and converting it to a zip file but am unable to convert it. Could you explain the process please?
Thanks,
Randy
Here are my latest Mobiflight files. I've been prototyping a 40x2 LCD which is a quick way to display a lot of detail. I don't have an FS2020 737 plane, but the Dreamliner is close.
Rename Mobiflight.jpg to Mobiflight.zip and unpack it. That's the only way I can upload the files, also uploading multiple files seems to fail. I had to delete a lot of messages to clear up the upload failures, apologies for that but needs must.
Paul - Hi. That is awesome. So I take it you did not need to use FSUIPC ... which means that functionality is now in MobiFlight 9??
Hello paul3507,
Thank you for the valuable information.
I look forward to working with you in the future.
Unfortunately ProSim is now more or less unsuitable for hobby flight simmers. Since a few years ago, when their prices shot up, they only target professional flight sims. Support for FS2020 is slowly improving. Air Manager has made good progress and MobiFlight has a direct connection to FS2020 which makes FSUIPC obsolete. If you don't understand code MobiFlight is probably easier to use. It was easy to prototype an MCP for FSX: https://youtu.be/tRB-vD62aPo I haven't tried the same for FS2020 yet. Getting the encoders working is key, as they have to update displays immediately. cheers Paul
If I met this home page five years ago, I might not have had to pay a lot of money.😥
Hello Sam.. Incase you don't know, PMDG was meant to be released around now but it has been delayed. It is because the SDK for developers is not up to par right now for "study level" aircraft. It is now said by the developer that their new release time is going to be around late 2021, or early 2022. I expect the latter.
Hope this helps your decision.
Cian
Hi Sam,
Prosim appears to be first to get there A320 & 737 going in MSFS. PMDG are busy creating there version and should follow shortly. No need to give up! Patience is key, MSFS is still very much a work in progress.
Kind Regards,
Karl
