I have a Makerbot Method X and have been having problems getting the lettering on my buttons for the Garmin G-1000 to turn out properly. I have performed bed calibration and insured that my extruder nozzles are clear and clean. I used rafting, dissolvable support and Tough material on high quality settings. I have tried varying the layer height, built the buttons with print facing up and down, and a variety of other variables, but the lettering does not turn out consistently. Sometimes it is distorted, sometimes one of the letters is missing, etc. I do not have a resin printer. The Method X can also print ABS and almost any material that you can think of. Can someone using a filament based system tell me what material and print settings that you used to make the buttons? After completing the G-1000 I want to take a shot at the CDU!
