Hello all, Karl thank you very much for all that you do for this hobby. I have recently purchased the 3d printed MCP Files. Unfortunately, I am unable to fit parts for example (12 LH backplate) onto my printers build plate. I am using the ender 3 printer. I could be wrong and missed it in my excitement when realizing the mcp file was available for purchase I was under the impression that I could print it on the ender 3 was I wrong? What setting if any am I missing that would allow the files to fit?
Thank you in advance for any help
Tim
Hello All,
I have now added an SPM:
It can be found here:
Do I have to turn it on its side myself or is there a stl already? I purchased the mcp but when I go to rotate and move it like in the build guide I can not get it to fit.
Me too print in two part and glue with bicomponent, good result!!
Hi Chris,
I also have an ender 3v2 and I was able to print the RH backplate and Faceplate.
I printed them diagonally with some support. It gave a nice results.
You can also reduce the layer of the raft to gain some space.
see attached files.
Hope it helps,
Pierre
in the mean time I have split the plates and have printed them in two parts which i shall simply glue back together.
They look okay to me, so moving on !!
I have same problem as Chris :( we await an answer from the experts.
Thanks
So I'm back with a question similar to above, and I didn't want to start a new thread, - and maybe Tim can answer it if he's already figured it out.
Same printer - well an Ender 3 V2 , very new to the whole 3d printing and building , but given the channel and the info that's around I thought I'd give it a go.
Its the same problem as above - although given what Tim has mentioned, I figured out the rotation for the LH sides, but the RH are slightly bigger and I can't for the life of me figure out how to print them.
Print vertically and its too tall, its too wide for the bed to print flat. So is it feasible to print at an angle like such as this?
Or is there something so blazingly obvious that I have missed it !!
Kind regards
Chris
Good spot - I was just searching around to check any issue before I started printing these myself.
Sorry I figured out my issue i missed the fact that the backplates need to be printed standing on their sides when using the smaller print bed.
