Hi! Glad (thrilled) to be here! What an absolute treasure of a site for someone like me who had the dream of building a 737 home cockpit at some time in my life.
I'm getting ready to spray paint some 3D printed panels, I've tried the "TRIAL" version Karl, And I'll let you know how it turns out (stay tuned for "makes" from Thingwizard on thingiverse) I'm now trying to figure out what the best type of spray paint would be to spray the panels in the lovely RAL7011 "guaranteed not to upset anyone, classically no-frills grey". "The best"here would mean as close to a real cockpit as possible. I've had the privilege to sit in a Dreamliner cockpit after a transatlantic flight, but I was too tired to think of analysing the sheen... (The HUD was cool though) -Is it semi-gloss? Is it matte? I've got a small airbrush pen that I think would be appropriate to apply it with (paint needs to be quite thin though) Any help here would be great!
