I bought the Helicopter Cyclic CAD and STL package since I have been looking for a good one with working force trim for way too long, awesome solution and great execution Karl!
However, I'm trying to print the actual cyclic grip, I realized that the part that supports the spring for the trigger sits on the RHS only and protrudes past the rest of the split of the part. Is this intentional, maybe to provide strenght? It makes it impossible to lay the part flat on the bed and therefore requires more support.
I do realize with after examening the CAD files a bit, that that part doesn't have anything that supports it in the LHS, and i have a hard time imagining all the cables etc. that will be taking up space in there, but wouldn't it be possible to connect it to the screw attatchment that passes by pretty close to it in the LHS and therefore split the LHS and RHS clean?
Would you otherwise advice from cutting that part off, printing it separately and then glue it in place to the RHS?
I tried to show the issue with the attatched pictures.

Thanx again for an awesome project!
Hi MartinGW!
Did you get a good working grip? How is it going?
Are you in the U.S.? Perhaps I can resin print this for you. Just got a Saturn Elegoo 8k, never resin printed before, but I am learning fast, just put grip-half try # 3 into the printer, fingers crossed.
Try 1 and 2 was before about 30 hours of study, youtube and reading forums, and the purchase of Lychee slicer. I will be posting all of my build journey, in detail, here soon.
Take Care
Johnnie
I like your thinking, and i remmebr trying something similar in prototyping, but it kept failing as the spring used has quite a bit of force. I also tried to screw the mount to the grip, but this failed too. You can see these previous versions by loading the cad and looking at the previous versions.
Good Luck!
I'm thinking attatching that protruding part of the RHS to the LHS maybe somthing like this:
I can also send the modified STLs if you want to inspect furter (I guess posting them here is a bad idea since this is reachable by anyone?)
