Hello Peter, They are normally in the orientation the part is placed into the cockpit. So if a part is mounted to the MIP, it will be slanted 15 degrees. This is essential when you build massive components with thousands of parts. Fusion gets stressed and then takes hours to loads. If you need a part straight on, Click the 'lookat' button at the bottom of the screen then click the part surface. It will orientate straight on. If required, save this view as named view. Im new to this and fusion 360 but why didnt you use joins? Then you can make your parts in any orientation !

They're always at some sort of angle, not sure why though. Perhaps if you look at them in 2d mode it would be flat.
