I have hundreds. It just takes time getting them to a good enough state to publish. So if you have a certain need of a plan, just ask and ill work on those first. That's how the downloads section is pretty random at the Moment!
Karl, I found a small thing on the CNC version of the 38$ MCP at https://a360.co/2UwXou5, the line between course button and course on captain's side is raised like the 3d-print model, and should be recessed. An easy fix but just a heads up if you want to change it.
Hi Jeff, Its coming, but the plans take weeks to create and i keep putting it off. I really want to get them finished so i can create a complete cockpit build guide!I might do a few each night to get it done!
Hi All, I have embarked on the $38 MCP and came up with a less elegant design of my own version of a KD2, a housing unit containing the LED, 3mm, and tactile push button, and a loose front button which contain a 3mm optic lens, 2 mtrs cheap on Amazon designed for model railway enthusiasts, this picks up the light and transmits it to the front of the button, this is all printed, housing unit is glued to the backplate and front button inserted into the recess front plate hold all in place, hope some finds this helpful, "neccesity is the mother of invention":-)
Hello, I'm currently contemplating two methods to create these. J tracks cut into 18mm MDF. I have little roller wheels and shower door rail wheels that will swivel when attached to the base in the tracks.
The other way will be to create 3d printed tracks or cnc them from hardwood/aluminium.
I am still yet to decide, but once I get some pictures and dimensions. I will will draw up exact replicas on fusion, then think about how best to come up with a cheap workable solution.
Hi Scott, i will get around to putting the plans on the website very soon! I get so many requests now, there really isnt enough hours in the day! I have been meaning to update the website for weeks now! The rudder pedals took way longer than i expected!
Not to piggyback on the thread, but I purchased the complete Mockup of the sim for fusion. I tried pulling the current updates based on the links I have from the download and they are not working. How would I go about getting the current revision?
on Oct 17, 2018 I bought your fantastic plans " The complete 737Cockpit side wall assy Plans & Guide" from your shop. From your conversation with Christopher Thornton (December 2018)
I have learned that you have made some small corrections to the plans. Is it possible to get the corrected versions of the plans I bought? That would be great, as I planed to start the build of the side wall assy the next weeks.
@helenwatersclarke Yes I've got them.THX! I also bought your new OVH guide & plans today. Had a quick look over the 200+ pages ! WOW ! That is really awesome, so much different angles and distances. That will be a huge huge challenge for me to build🤓. But with the help of these gorgeous plans I think I will do it😀.
Hi Karl! Happy new year and all the best for the new year to you and your family! I am new to your site and man am I glad I got to this website, gr8t job man we as sim builders needed a site like this that explains everything to us ordinary guy's. I also did build an ATR 42-600 sim for myself In Knysna South Africa. I had the sim build just had to do all the wiring and programming, then the unfortunate fires disasters in Knysna happen and our house burned down with my hole workshop and my simulator and all and all.
So yes we had to start from scratch as a family myself, wife a sun and daughter and I am back in the game this time building the 737. I am in desperate nee for everything hahaha as you can imagine. I am doing all the research now and will as soon as my finances are in order buy your full cockpit plans for 60 pounds. When I build the ATR it took me for ever as I am also a big DIY guy and also build all the instruments and PCB's myself. Lost all the gear to do that but invested in a secondhand Laser cutter that I fully restored and ready to start making panels. I also had a CNC home build machine that I also lost but will have to do without it for now.
What I actually wanted to say is thanks for this site and the hard work and dedication to this site I will support your site were I can. We need a site like this that is clear on how to do things and not showing off on what was done, but clear to the T.
I am going to add you on Whatsapp my number is +27845005812 if that is ok with you?
Also, as I draw out the Sill and set a window unit onto it, it's clear the window goes straight, while the sill has the inside angle. Does the forward window then float in space past the sill or should we leave the outside sill straight? (reference pg 19 step 2 thumbnail)
Do you have any pictures of how the sill mates to the window on the outside?
Hi Chris! That's awesome info! Thank you very much for pointing all these out. I will sit down later and correct all these errors! Please do keep telling me any more. If you have whatsapp, feel free to contact me on there 00673 7207616. That way if you want answers straight away, I should be able to do so.
Karl - Great site! You've inspired me to start version 2 of my pit. Where do I find the detailed drawings for the following components? Not finding them in the purchased plans.
*Lower Sill Blank
*Upper/Lower Chart Holders
*Tail Flick
*Cutbacks for Quarter-Sill (note: I think the detailed measurements for Quarter-Sill are missing from the 111 pg PDF but I found them elsewhere on the site)
Hi Chris, Sorry for the delay and thank you for pointing these out to me!
Could you elaborate on the Sill Blank and Upper/Lower Chart Holders?
On the tail Flick now and those cut outs are correct. I will issue an amendment later on. Until then i will post the updates straight to the downloads section.
Kind Regards,
Karl
(and if you need anything else just ask.) I am now hoping to spend at least an hour a day on the sim.

Hi Karl, any thoughts of designing plans for a ipeco j-rail system? Perhaps an aluminum design with the seat base and J-rail tracks.
Hi is it possible for plans about the overhead panel and frame to hold it up

Sure, let me be more specific. Generally it is what final dimensions we're shooting for when shaping all these blanks.
*Upper/Lower Chart Holders
- Lower Chart Holder pg 23 under "Create the Chart Holders" - thumbnail on step 1
- Upper Chart Holder pg 24 steps 4-5 (missing the dimensions you reference in step 5)
*Lower Sill
- Steps 7-8 (pg 21) - need dimensions to draw on, then shape the blank
*Cutbacks for Quarter-Sill
- under Create the Quarter Sill, pg 19 - thumbnail on step 2 labeled "sill slice 3" (this is the one I found elsewhere)
- need the cutbacks you caution to set the saw correctly for in step 3 (pg 19)

Hi Bernie, There at the top of the downloads page. Just checked. Have you pushed refresh?
I think I added them last week Bernie. Let me know if there are any problems are they need adjusting
Hi Karl,
looking for the plans of your 737 MIP Knee Panels from episode 3 of your YT videos.
Would be great if you can share them.
Cheers
