Hello to everyone, i'm in the middle of my project, i have almost everything like instruments and missing only to finish to build my frame shell structure :D
I was looking to something customized because i have a problem with space, i have only 3.40m x 2.50m room, and i've found this beautiful website.
So i've started to check everything to see if it could be used in my case and...yes! It is.
i've started with the floor...

The throttle floor, is lower because the mdf was finished, and miss the down side table.

At the moment the grey box on the right was cover a sink that now i have removed, i need space to use 3x75" TVs :)
Now let's start with the first guide. The Lower Side Walls.
All pieces cut from right and left side

The first one was the right side

And then both completed 😍

I've notice some mistakes in the guide, maybe from various passages from the v1 to v3... :)
Step 9 -> item 37 ( the correct one is 27 like picture)
Step 11 -> item 8 ( the correct one is 7 like picture)
Step 12 -> item 25 (the correct one is 18, also the picture is wrong)
Step 14 -> item 24 ( the correct one is 19)
Step 19 -> item 29 ( the correct one is 21 like picture)
Step 26 -> item 29 twice ( the correct one is 28)
After this, i've started the Side Windows with the Master Frame

and from this one...all the pieces needed for both side.

And those are ready :D

After this, i've started the sill, the windows base and tried to align ...but now got the first block.
I've got the same problem from Karl video, when the base didn't fit under the windows frame, and also a problem when trying to align the sill. From the guide, i don't understand if the windows are 90° vertically on the sill or they have some offset.
In the followed image you can notice the windows tilt a little lateral, i don't know if it's right, if i need to cut the base inclinated ...i need some tips from you all :D

Maybe i miss something here?

...
I will continue my adventures after found a solution to this block :)
Regards
Wow, it's been 3 months from last update, this is the situation at the moment....since when i've started to use it, i've taken a pause from build it a bit.
A little cable management
And then the overhead positioning
After fixed and leveled FWD and AFT mount, with the problem showed in previous post...too thick and some cm stolen of visual 😅
After this point, the missing parts are just the first pair of rudder and yoke ... and here they are.
Then i was ready to install the 3th TV...the left one, the 2nd FMC and the 1st EFB...
From this situation...i've start to use and fly it...and the pause phase from building it begun 🤣 Sincerely i've found the last phase to much difficult, it's not easy to understand the last schemes and measures... This is where i am now with building...i miss only the left and right ceiling.
@Karl Clarke have you to sell the 3 CNC plug window files like the one you use in the video? Cya next time with more update :)
@Karl Clarke now i need your help with some ideas or tips and tricks for 2 things :
1) best way to attach front section to lateral windows?
2) other thing is the overhead, as i write before, i have all instruments from a workshop that build cockpit, they have different measures and thickness, my overhead is less wide and more thick (10,5cm) and I think even heavier than to self-built...will the structure support them? How could be the best way to fix them?
I was thinking to use metal bracket from the OVH chassis to the side panel of the OVHD structure...
As you could see, it is also 4cm more cumbersome to view and protruding downwards, do you say that I can put it higher in some way?
Thanks in advance...and... bye to everyone.
Hello everybody. This week I did a few things, because at the moment I need to think and organize every single step, space is less and I need to move around the room to continue with the work... I've finished to paint the frontal section
The primer and then the final color.
Now before go ahead i've finally found the moquette for the floor... First piece in sidewall
Installed in all the floor 😎
I've started some cable management, already finished all the electrical wired, now need only the ethernet wires that i will finish tomorrow...when i will got some pieces from 1meter and 0,5 meters :)
At this point, i have to do 3 important things to go ahead, or i will remain stuck for space:
1) install on the left side the 3rd TV and its wall bracket (at the moment only the wall bracket)
2) mount front section and try to align to the side walls
3) find a way and mount the OVH panel and put the base cockpit shell in the final place waiting for the side ceiling.
Tomorrow i will go for the TV, today i've mounted the front section and tried to see how it looks like.
Hello, little update. 😎
While i'm drawing the rh and lh ceiling support
i've decide to go ahead with the cockpit inside... so i've added a second TV ( i've tried with nvidia surround so yes..the center view is the border 🤓, it will be fixed with the 3rd TV as soon as i fixed the front )
and finally...i've found the way to fix the front section. Need to put a better support with 2 more woods support to the sides but the height is correct 😍
Now i've started to paint the front section to fix it definitely with the sides parts.
Ok i’m on the last straight with the overhead structure 🎉🎊🥸
I miss only the angular supports and i need some tips from you @Karl Clarke because i notice something strange in the schematic, the measurements in the perspective drawing are not the same 🤔 or i didnt’ understand something? 🤯
New little update... just mounted the upper base, the rear support and support frame number 5-4-3.
Tomorrow i hope to go ahead and finish the OVH 😎
Hello guys, a new update... i've not painted the front section yet, couze i will wait to finish the overhead to check if everything is ok.
I've already started to build it, it's not easy to find hardwood here i have tried with MDF and i think to have found the first criticality due to my lack of experience as a carpenter 🤓
I've tried to drill a bit the side of MDF but i think not enough 😪
And this is where i am at the moment :)
No i need to buy some woods couze i haven't the thickness required, for example the 29mm for the upper base support...and so on! I hope that in the end it will support everything 🤣, my AFT and FWD overhead are official from a factory, so different measures and weight... we'll see
Added the center pillar, the lower support, and refined a little 😎
Ready to be paint.
While i'm waiting some tips...i've tried to do something like the Screen 1 of previous post with temporary upper sill.
Done also the centre pillar.
Some little gap...it was not easy screw them alone 😅
Hello i've just finished to cut all that i need for the front windows frames but i have some questions 😂:
@Karl Clarke i think i need your little help to go ahead, couze i see 2-3 differents way for the front windows in the pdf guides and video, and i don't know which one is correct for the final results.
For example these 2 ways are from the Front section PDF guide :
Screen 1
and Screen 2:
Here some screen of your video #13 and #17 i think like screen 1
Instead here in your video #20 .... you have only the 2 windows support frame...
Now i am in this situation 😅
How should i continue ? i will go for the entire structure...so overhead and side ovh parts 🤓 but i need to arrive at the final point for the front section, and the starting point for the ovh guide without wrong pieces mounted 😅
Thank you in advance for all 😇😁😎
Let's start with the front windows.
For today...that's enough 😎
Now, while i'm making the front windows (not easy) 😂, i've moved the sidewalls to see how they look like.
Not bad 😍
Amazing!!!
Hello everyone, it's time to post some updates :)
This was the most boring phase till now, 1 day for each paint phase, 2 layers of primer, and 2 days for paint each parts.
The sidewall with primer done and the windows frame
Before paint them, i've gave a little pass with a 220 sandpaper to make them smooth and give a final beautiful view.
Now it's time to paint the quarter sill and the lateral cover
and 1 mounted. 😍
Yes Karl ...it's amazing!!!
I've tried also a little positioning and...it's really cool!! Today i will start to paint them :)
