I run X-Plane 11/12 with a triple monitor running the X-Rotors AW-139 4.01 and AW109 1.09. My build is centered on the AW-139 with MicroHelis AW-139 Collective, Cyclic and Pedals that have been modified to include pitch stops for the cyclic and a hydraulic dampener for the collective. I have tuned the set-up with the help of two good friends that fly light and medium twin-turbine helicopters, and I have created a feel as close to real life as possible, but there is also room for research and development-and learning new skills to take it to the next level. I have also replaced the gaming laptop that struggled with the triple monitors with a custom built PC running an overclocked i7 12700, 64 GB DDR4, NVIDIA RTX 4070Ti GPU and a 2 TB SSD + 10 TB HHD. I also added a 4th monitor to the right of the panel in order to improve the view of the ground on approach and landing. The VIRPIL A-10 throttle is used for buttons/encoders/switches only (although I would like the throttles to move the overhead engine levers, but there is no button/analog interface for it in x-rotors/XP-11).
My next phase in this project is a AW139 Pedestal (Hispapanels.com) and Main Instrument Panel. I was so impressed with Karl's videos that I am inspired to buy a Creality CR-10 S5 printer to begin making my own next-level collective and cyclic for the AW139!
