I'm building a full dual seat 737 simulator based on Prosim737v1.56, Prepar3Dv4, Sioc v5.0 and predominantly Open Cockpits modules including a FWD Overhead.
Main visual display uses three 55" UHD curved screen TV's.
I did a huge amount of research into projector v TV screens and in the end it came down to the fantastic resolution of 4k UHD TV's and the significant cost reduction v short throw projectors.
I don't run the sim at 4k on three screens as there isn't a graphics card that can handle that pixel count (at the moment). But a trial on one screen at 4k, my God is it incredible, one day they will have a card that can do it, at a reasonable cost.
I use Samsung 55" 4k UHD curved screen TV's with a 10mm bezel which I don't find distracting.
I find having 3 TV's the same creates an issue starting them all up together with the remote even after so called 'pairing', they tend to come on '2 on' and 'one off', then you click the remote and you get 'one on' and '2 off'. It can be a real pain to start with, TV's at that size don't seem to have a manual on/off button but rely on the remote, a small issue which can be overcome.
I am currently running a single PC 6 core I7 extreme cpu which is now 10 years old but still coping well.
I run Prosim737v1.56 with Prepar3Dv4 and SIOC to drive the Opencockpits hardware.
There are 3 graphics cards:
GTX980 for 3 main visual display screens plus a 27" monitor for the Instructor Station, Little Navmap, Navigraph etc.
2 x GTX960's for the MIP screens and both CDU's.
All the hard drives are now SSD's of which I take a clone set of as a backup every so often, best single thing you can do if you have ever had to reinstall photographic scenery disk after disk plus all the configuration and setups, it takes weeks, believe me, been there done that, but never again.
Hello Mike Swift from Scotland. I too am heading the 3 large TV way. I hope this finds you well and welcome to the site!

You won't be disappointed with the TV route.
Cheers
