After more than a year of development, testing, and sourcing the perfect material, Helen and I (Karl) are proud to unveil the MIP Backboard. For us, it's the long-awaited final component of the 737SS (Single Seat) simulator. Until now, this part was unavailable due to size and shipping limitations. However, thanks to a clever redesign, the backboard is now split into three modular sections, which dramatically reduces shipping costs while preserving structural integrity.
This release marks a significant milestone in the 737SS journey, making the build more accessible, more modular, and more exciting than ever. Now we can truely provide a one-stop shop solution. This single benefits many users who lack the hand skills to cut their own backboard, or those who want simplicity in the build while maintaining a stunning-looking professional finish.

🧩 Three Options to Suit Every Builder
Whether you're just starting out or deep into your build, the MIP Backboard comes in three configurations to match your budget, skill level, and build style:
🔹 Option 1: 3mm MDF White Melamine Template
A cost-effective cut and drill guide for those with an existing one-piece backboard. Supplied in three sections, this template helps you accurately mark and drill your layout with ease.
🔹 Option 2: 6mm MDF White Melamine Backboard (Unpainted)
A sturdy, pre-cut backboard split into three cleverly hidden sections. Supplied unpainted, it’s the more affordable of the two 6mm options. It's perfect for those who want a solid base and prefer to customise the finish.
🔹 Option 3: 6mm MDF Backboard – Painted RAL7011
Our premium offering is painted in RAL7011 to match all MIP panels. Also split into three sections, this version is ready to install and delivers a professional finish straight out of the box.
🛠️ Our Parts - Designed for Builders, by an Aeronautical Engineer.
At the heart of my design philosophy is my relentless pursuit of perfection. Every component is continuously refined to be easier to build, more authentic in both appearance and function, and more cost-effective for the end user. (I have to be honest here, we dont produce these in thousands just yet, which would dramatically lower the price)
💡 What Makes Us Different
Unlike many vendors, we don’t just sell parts; we try to deliver a complete, thoughtfully engineered solution. Our kits are designed to eliminate the guesswork, enabling you to build a fully functional simulator without spending countless hours troubleshooting or head-scratching.
✈️ The 737SS MIP Package – Your Build Starts Here
After 18 months of rigorous testing and refinement, the 737SS MIP panels are now finalised. In response to popular demand, we’ve created a complete starter package, eliminating the need to piece together individual parts.
This is the ultimate way to get started with your build. And now, with the MIP Backboard available in three flexible formats, building the 737SS is just like assembling a large LEGO or Meccano set. It's modular, intuitive, and incredibly rewarding.
Each part comes with its own dedicated build guide, step-by-step instructions, and video walkthroughs to help you build the sim of your dreams.
This wasn't supposed to be a pushy sales blog post, but yes, I can see how it comes across. But if you're not here for that, sit back and enjoy the behind-the-scenes video, which shows how we got to this stage and what is possible. I genuinely have a passion for providing the best parts to people, so they can create their own sim, even if it's not a Boeing 737.
Take Care, and Best Wishes, Karl
