A 3d printed unit with a working friction unit. The friction allows adjustment of the feel and holds the unit at any desired point. 
 
This unit requires a bush/'O' ring printed from TPU  It's this TPU printed bush that is compressed to create friction  The remainder can be printed in the easier PLA filament or resin.
 
The device is connected to a 10K Ohm linear pot.
