The ultimate printer I can recommend is the Bambu Labs X1 carbon with AMS or P1P if you have deep pockets. ($1200). It's a massive leap forward in 3D printing, with excellent quality and impressive speeds. It's pretty much press print and go as the software and hardware do the calibration before each print.

This C172 avionics panel was specifically adapted for 3D printing. The text is much larger than normal and the panel is slightly oversize. This was done to ensure the text and lines would print at the best quality. The panel can be backlit with 12v LED strip lights.

STEP:

1

Insert the 5mm Green LED into the orifice. It should be a tight push-fit. Use super glue/Hot glue if required

Inert Qty 4, 10KOhm Pots into the face panel. ensure the pins face up and the locating tangs sit correctly in the holes of the face panel.

Use the supplied locknuts to secure the QTY 4 pots to the faceplate from the front.

Insert QTY 10, ON/OFF toggle switches into the Backplate. You may need to use a backing nut on the toggle switches to help set the correct depth of the switch

Secure the toggle switches from the front side with a second locknut.

(Optional, as this only works when the faceplate is printed in white and painted after printing) Apply the 12V led Strip to the backplate where the text is located.

Place the Faceplate over the backplate and secure with QTY 5, M4 x 8mm Screws.

Insert Qty 2, Part (5) into (3) Sw case

Insert a 3mm x 20mm piece of rod to secure the assemblies.

Repeat for both red and white switches

Insert Qty 2, On/Off toggle switches into the (4) SW backplate. Repeat this step to produce Qty 2 units. Use the lock nuts to adjust the position of the toggle switches, so that the toggle switches are only just protruding through the inboard locknut.

Insert the switch assemblies into the panel

Place the Switch backplates on the switches.

Secure with Qty 4, M4 x 6mm Countersunk Screws.

Gently tighten QTY 4, M4 x 25mm screws into the units to hold the switches in place.
