Introducing the all-new version 2 of the Sim Break Out Board (BOB). This board has been specifically developed for the 737SS simulator, but it can also be used on any sim that uses Mobiflight software. The BOB uses an Arduino Mega Pro for compactness. Karl designed this board to suit his specific needs and requirements. He was never satisfied with the cheap terminal connectors used by other vendors. Therefore, he designed this board to use robust quick-release connectors that are strong and won't fail after one or two applications.

The Mobiflight Break Out Board (BOB) makes connecting buttons easy as pie! With Mobiflight scan for input, you can easily connect buttons to the board.

The board features 64 inputs via 4 multiplexers and 32 additional outputs via 2 output shift registers, on top of the remaining 42 digital pins of the Arduino. The board also allows the 16 analog pins to be utilized.

The board has 16 dedicated pins for ground terminal blocks and 8 pins dedicated for VCC = 5V output. Via Jumper selection at the edge of the board, you can select between 5 volts from the Arduino or 5v external from the 2-pin edge connector.

Two further jumpers can be used to select between full brightness of the output shift registers or PWM, which can be selected by using an additional two Arduino pins.

The Mobiflight Break Out Board (BOB) is available with various options to suit your needs and budget. However, please note that all options require simple DIY assembly as shown in the YouTube video. Also, keep in mind that you will require a Micro USB cable. The length of the cable will depend on your circumstances. The following options are available:

PCB Only

A Black PCB with SMD components mounted. Only large through-hole components such as terminal blocks and header pins require soldering. The board Measures 185 x 132mm.

PCB & Hardware

All the necessary components and PCB are included in the kit, except for the Arduino. While you may find cheaper components elsewhere, this kit is designed for those who want to get started right away without worrying about which parts to order. Please note that you will still need to purchase the Arduino Mega Pro and connecting lead separately.

The complete DIY set

In this version, you will receive the PCB, all necessary hardware, and the Arduino. It is ready be assembled on arrival, and you will only need a USB micro cable available from Amazon, eBay etc. You may still find individual components at a cheaper price elsewhere.
