✈️ Description of the Creation
Bring a new level of realism to your Cessna‑style home cockpit with this Version 2 Start/Magneto Switch. Designed specifically for DIY flight sim builders, this unit features:
- Fully functional barrel key lock
- Five authentic detent positions (OFF – R – L – BOTH – START)
- Spring‑loaded START position that automatically returns when released
- Only 4 printed parts, making this an extremely simple and fast build
- Compact and durable design ideal for tight panels or portable trainers
This refined V2 release focuses on reliability, accuracy, and ease of customization—resulting in an essential upgrade for any C172‑style cockpit.
🧩 What Makes This Design Unique
This version has been rebuilt from the ground up with true adjustability in mind. Because DIY builders often purchase different key barrels—especially inexpensive units from China that may vary by 1–2° in rotation—you now receive:
- Editable CAD files to fine‑tune rotation alignment
- Print‑ready STL files for immediate production
- Improved housing geometry for smoother feel and stronger detents
To ensure perfect alignment across varying hardware options, 3D‑print‑only versions have been removed. CAD access is now essential and included.
📦 Included Files
