Introducing the New v4 Korry SMD PCB, engineered from the ground up to be the most accurate, durable, and user‑friendly Korry solution we’ve ever produced. This version moves to a professionally manufactured, dual‑sided SMD PCB with all components pre‑fitted, offering unmatched reliability and ease of installation for your simulator panels.

 

Key Features

✔ Premium Dual‑Sided SMD PCB Construction

Unlike previous versions, the v4 uses a fully pre‑assembled double‑sided PCB. While more expensive to manufacture, the results speak for themselves:

  • increased durability
  • clean, repeatable performance
  • compact design compatible with new Korry cases
  • Zero hand‑soldering of resistors, leds or diodes required

All resistors and diodes are pre‑installed and pre‑configured for 5V operation, so you can simply plug in and go.

 

✔ Two Variants: Common Anode & Common Cathode

The v4 is available in two wiring formats to support a wide range of cockpit builds:

Common Anode – 2×3 Dual‑Row Header

Common Cathode – 2×2 Dual‑Row Header

 

Common cathode would be suited for connection to an arduino directly, the Common Annode is for shift registers or to utilse the shift registers of the BOB (Break Out Board)

 

The use of dual‑row Dupont header pins ensures:

  • a firmer, more reliable connection than single‑row pins
  • flexibility to solder wires directly or
  • use standard female Dupont connectors (2×3 or 2×2 depending on version)

This makes wiring simpler, cheaper, and more secure.

 

✔ Realistic White LED Core with True‑Colour Lenses

Every Korry PCB uses high‑quality white SMD LEDs. Just like the real aircraft, the colour is determined by the caption lens, not the LED.
This means:

  • identical brightness across all colours
  • crisp, even illumination
  • no mismatched intensities between captions

✔ Dual ALPS Switch System for Perfect Feel

Each PCB includes two ALPS tactile switches, mounted symmetrically for:

  • even pressure distribution
  • a positive, premium “click” feel
  • reliable activation regardless of press angle

✔ Three Operational Modes

The v4 Korry PCB supports multiple configurations depending on your build:

Caption Only – Illumination without button functionality

Caption + Press‑to‑Test – Authentic aircraft behaviour

Caption + Press‑to‑Test + Functional Button – Send inputs back to your sim

This flexibility makes the v4 suitable for everything from MIP annunciators to a full overhead.

 

✔ Required for Upcoming Overhead Build

These PCBs are the standard moving forward for all 737DIYSIM overhead panels.
Every new panel design will utilise the v4 Korry PCB system for consistent mounting, illumination, and wiring.

 

Compatibility Notes

 

New Korry Cases Required

Because of the new dual‑sided layout and switch positioning, the v4 PCB must be used with the updated Korry case design.
Ensure you have:

  • the correct CAD/STL files (resin printing highly recommended)
  • compatible 737DIYSIM caption lenses (for true‑to‑life colour and fit)
